Get ready, San Diego: Life Time Otay Ranch is coming your way in winter 2025. Located in Chula Vista, just south of downtown San Diego, this new athletic country club is set to serve as a community hub for healthy living.

“We are proud to bring Life Time’s luxury athletic country club experience to such a vibrant, health-minded community,” says Andrew Dewey, lead general for Life Time Otay Ranch. “As a San Diego native, I know the community, and I know Life Time delivers a quality product our members will appreciate. Our mission is to inspire a healthy way of life and we’re here to support every member in that endeavor.”

Let’s explore the 85,000-square-foot Life Time Otay Ranch space:

exterior of otay ranch

Starting on the first floor, Life Time Otay Ranch offers a full-scale Kids Academy. “There are a lot of young families in this community, and members can feel confident dropping their kids off in a safe environment,” says Dewey. “We’ll keep them busy and engaged with healthy activities.”

Parents can leave their kids — ages three months to 11 years — at the Kids Academy while they make use of other areas of the club. The Kids Academy features a movement studio, an art and language studio, a learning lab, a kids’ gym, an outdoor turf play area, a toddler area, and an infant area. Kids can learn, play, and grow with engaging and enriching age-specific programming and classes. Parents can use up to 2.5 hours of childcare per day, included with a Junior Membership.

Another unique perk of a Junior Membership is unlimited monthly kids and tweens events. Parents can enjoy an evening to themselves — at the club or elsewhere — with regular Parents Night Out and Tween Takeover events, which are always based around fun themes.

Families can also enroll in School-Break Camps for those days when school is out and the kids need something to do.

Also on the first floor is the Life Time Work Club Lounge — an open-plan, community-style coworking area that’s complimentary for members. “This space is here for members who want to work remotely or need to get tasks done before or after their workouts,” says Dewey. (Learn more: “What Is the Life Time Work Club Lounge?”)

The adjacent lounge features a full-service bar with beer on tap, wine, champagne, and other beverage options. Members can look forward to social events and mixers, where they can create new relationships with like-minded people from the community.

The first floor is also home to the LifeSpa — a full-service salon and spa offering body, skin, hair, and nail treatments — and the LifeCafe. Swing in for a nutritious meal (like a build-your-own bowl) or snack or simply grab a protein shake to-go after your workout.

The luxurious locker rooms — including men’s, women’s, and family — are located on this level too. The men’s and women’s locker rooms feature a full hydrotherapy suite experience with a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and cold plunge. Here, members can feel pampered in spaces dedicated to their recovery and relaxation.

Up on the second floor, discover the expansive workout floor, where members can find free weights, state-of-the-art cardio and resistance-training machines, and designated stretching areas. It’s easy to build and stay consistent with a fitness routine when everything you need is available in one convenient space.

Members seeking a more individualized fitness experience or added guidance and accountability can connect one-on-one with a Dynamic Personal Trainer (at an additional cost). (Learn more: “Achieve Your Fitness Goals With Dynamic Personal Training.”)

This is also where members can advance their fitness and partake in GTX, Alpha, and Ultra Fit signature group training classes. GTX is a 50/50 blend of cardio and strength work; Alpha is centered around Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning; and Ultra Fit combines sprint-interval training with balance and strength efforts.

There are also four studio spaces for Pilates, yoga, barre, and other unique-to-Life-Time group fitness classes. These classes are taught by top performers with options for people of all fitness levels and interests. (Learn more: “Why Life Time Classes Are for Everyone.”)

After your workout, wind down in the LT Recovery zone, where you can find HydroMassage lounge chairs, CyroLounge chairs, Normatec compression therapy devices, and Hyperice vibration therapy devices. (Learn more: “How to Use 3 Popular Recovery Tools at Life Time.”)

Additionally, Life Time Otay Ranch features a LifeClinic, where licensed chiropractors are available by appointment (at an additional cost) to help alleviate pain or discomfort so you can move and function at your best.

For those aiming to incorporate more recovery, stretching, or mobility work into their fitness plans, consider a Dynamic Stretch session — a stretch specialist can take you through a full-body assisted-stretch session (at an additional cost). (Read more: “What Is Dynamic Stretch?”)

Life Time Otay Ranch is going all-in on the popular sport of pickleball. Grab your paddle and head to one of the three indoor pickleball courts. Or, if you prefer playing in the sun, venture outside to the four outdoor pickleball courts. “If you want to learn how to play pickleball or you’re already an avid pickleball player, this is the place for you to be,” says Dewey.

Members can also relax and splash around on the beautiful 51,000-square-foot pool deck, featuring a lap pool and two leisure pools with waterslides. Swim laps, take lessons, or simply spend time soaking up the sun. And when hunger strikes, order healthy eats from the outdoor bistro right from your cabana or lounge chair.

“Life Time Otay Ranch is unlike anything many people in the area have ever experienced,” says Dewey. “It’s a place to connect, grow, and thrive — no matter your age or stage of life. I’m excited for all our amazing team members to empower our members to live healthier, happier lives.”

Life Time is bringing a unique club offering to the Chicago area: Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet, a suburban sport and racquet club with all the athletic country club amenities. It’s set to debut in two phases: the first in early 2026 and the second in spring 2026.

The phase one opening of the club features 19 indoor pickleball courts as well as a pro shop, a studio for yoga and MB360 (mind-body training) classes, and a Life Time Work Club Lounge.

In spring 2026, when the full club experience debuts, members can enjoy the entire spectrum of amenities and spaces that Life Time offers, including fitness studios, luxurious locker rooms, a LifeCafe and bar, a Beach Club pool area, 20 additional outdoor pickleball courts, and more.

Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet is the sixth club to open in Chicago within the last five years and the 17th club overall in the metropolitan area. It’s located just four miles from Life Time Northbrook, offering members the option to easily use the offerings at both destinations or within the network of other clubs in the area.

Let’s explore the 115,000-square-foot Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet space:

“Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet will be a premier destination — both in the Midwest and in the nation — for amateur and professional athletes to come and play pickleball,” says Steven Pierce, senior lead general at Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet.

With the sheer number of courts — 39 in total! — there is no shortage of opportunities for pickleball players. “This club is going to be the most exciting place for people to play pickleball,” shares Sabrina Palavra, pickleball lead for Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet and member of the pickleball advisory board for Life Time.

Prior to joining Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet, Palavra was the pickleball lead at Life Time Old Orchard in Skokie, Ill. — a club also known for its robust pickleball community where Palava launched a diverse pickleball program that includes leagues, tournaments, drills, private and semi-private lessons, and more.

“Life Time Old Orchard did a really good job creating a pickleball program that appeals to all levels — beginner through advanced — and all ages. This created strong member engagement and kept our players happy. This is ultimately what I plan to bring to Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet,” explains Palavra. “With the number of courts we have at this club, we’re going to be able to tailor our programming to everyone at every level.”

Palavra plans to hone the programming even more tightly to categories of players that may often be overlooked at other facilities due to limited court space. Think peewee levels (kids ages 5 to 7 years old) and other junior-age members; active-aging members; and players whose DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is in between levels (like 2.5 to 3.0).

Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet also plans to host Intro to Pickleball courses nearly every day of the week to meet the anticipated demand. “The more courts you have, the more opportunities you have to tailor programming and tournaments to make playing an enjoyable experience for all,” says Palavra.

Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet is also aiming to serve the pickleball community with spaces that can host high-level competitive play, according to Pierce. “This club will have stadium-style seating for some of its indoor pickleball courts, purposeful for spectating and livestreaming,” he says.

This club’s location within Chicagoland is also intentional, he adds. “Many professional pickleball players travel out of state or down south to play in competitive matches, but now they can have access to elevated court spaces in the Midwest.

“We’re hopeful that Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet will become a future hosting site for the LT Open — Life Time’s singles pickleball tournament — [and we] expect to welcome professionals to compete in other pickleball events held here,” he adds. (Learn more: “The Biggest Stage in Singles Pickleball: What Is the LT Open?”)

There will also be a pro shop for all your pickleball gear needs. “Members will be able to shop high-quality, professional gear, including LT Pro 48 pickleballs, the official pickleball of the Carvana PPA Tour,” says Pierce.

For any members who want a space to catch up on work, they can do so at the complimentary Life Time Club Work Lounge, which is an open-plan, community-style coworking space inside the club. (Learn more: “What Is the Life Time Work Club Lounge?”)

Members can elevate their fitness by taking part in GTX, Alpha, and Ultra Fit signature group training classes in their dedicated spaces. GTX is a 50/50 blend of cardio and strength work; Alpha is centered around Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning; and Ultra Fit combines sprint-interval training with balance and strength efforts.

MB360, the fourth format in Life Time’s signature group training portfolio, is a mind-body program that combines meditation, mobility work, and functional strength and conditioning exercises. It will be offered in the same studio space where yoga classes are held.

There are two more studios for group fitness classes: one dedicated to barre and the other to CTR (Core Tone Reform), Life Time’s newest format that features a high-energy, low-impact athletic reformer workout designed for all fitness levels. (Learn more: “Core, Tone, Reform: What is CTR at Life Time?”)

Members can venture onto the workout floor to find free weights, state-of-the-art cardio and resistance-training machines, and designated stretching areas. It’s easy to build and stay consistent with a fitness routine when everything you need is available in one convenient space.

Along with luxurious men’s and women’s locker rooms, there will be a coed hydrotherapy suite equipped with a steam room, sauna, cold plunge, and whirlpool.

There’s an LT Recovery zone, too, where members can find HydroMassage lounge chairs, CryoLounge chairs, Normatec compression therapy devices, and Hyperice vibration therapy devices. “If you have tight muscles after playing pickleball, this is where you’ll want to be,” notes Pierce. (Learn more: “How to Use 3 Popular Recovery Tools at Life Time.”)

In warm-weather months, members can lounge at the Beach Club; the outdoor pool is a half-lap, half-leisure pool.

Back inside, members can swing by the LifeCafe for a nutritious meal or to grab a protein shake to-go after their workout. There will also be an adjacent bar with beer on tap, wine, champagne, and other beverage options that can be enjoyed both inside and outdoors on the pool deck. Members can look forward to social events and mixers here, where they can develop new relationships with like-minded people from the community.

“Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet will endeavor to serve the pickleball community, and we’re also going to have elevated healthy-living amenities that people cannot get anywhere else,” says Pierce. “There is no other facilitator in the Midwest that’s going to do pickleball like Life Time.”

Life Time members often remark on the luxurious athletic country club amenities enjoyed from the moment they walk in the door and continuing into the dressing rooms, where steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools, and other features create a serene oasis. And in summer 2025, Life Time announced a new addition to these spaces in their New York City locations: premium haircare and skincare products from Kiehl’s. That luxe experience is now expanding to the opposite coast, rolling out in select western and west coast locations this fall.

“Members at select clubs in Arizona, Nevada, California, Washington, and Oregon will soon enjoy a curated selection of Kieh’s most-loved products in our dressing rooms and showers,” says Brian Gaeta, vice president of club operations for Life Time. “This effort is part of our ongoing commitment to delivering elevated experiences that support our members’ healthy, high-performance lifestyles.”

Kiehl’s has curated four of their most beloved formulas to be featured in Life Time dressing rooms.

“At Kiehl’s, we’ve been dedicated to delivering effective, science-backed skincare since our founding as a neighborhood apothecary in 1851,” says John Reed, general manager for Kiehl’s. “Our mission has always been rooted in care: care for skin, care for the community, and care for the environments in which our customers live their lives. This relationship with Life Time represents a natural evolution of that mission. Each product was selected for its proven efficacy, sensorial appeal, and relevance to both pre- and post-workout care.”

Meet the Products

Amino Acid Shampoo

“This is a gentle yet effective daily cleanser that helps soften and add body to the hair thanks to a blend of coconut-oil-derived surfactants and wheat proteins,” Reed explains. “It has a creamy lather and subtle coconut scent that feels both cleansing and indulgent.”

Form 133 Conditioner

“This ultra-light conditioner detangles and hydrates without weighing hair down,” notes Reed. “It’s perfect for a post-workout refresh and can be used after shampooing to soften hair or as a leave-in conditioner to help make hair smooth and manageable.”

Grapefruit Body Cleanser

“A cult favorite for good reason, this refreshing, invigorating cleanser is formulated with botanical extracts and aloe vera, delivering a gentle cleanse that energizes the senses,” he adds.

Crème de Corps

“One of our most iconic body moisturizers, Crème de Corps is known for its rich texture and deep hydration,” Reed says. “It’s particularly beneficial after a shower to lock in moisture and leave skin noticeably softer and smoother.”

Reed notes that he is excited to expand Kiehl’s relationship with Life Time to elevate more members’ experiences. “We’re meeting our customers where they are: in a premium environment that reflects their commitment to a high-performance, intentional, and self-care-focused lifestyle,” he says. “By integrating our high-efficacy products into this premium experience, we can deliver demonstrable results and further empower their pursuits both in and out of the club. We’re proud to be part of an ecosystem like Life Time, which champions a healthy way of life.”

Kiehl’s products will be available in early October in the following Life Time locations:

The Go-To Mood-Boosting Activities of 10 Healthy-Living Experts https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/the-go-to-mood-boosting-activities-of-10-healthy-living-experts/ Thu, 25 Sep 2025 13:00:44 +0000 https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/?post_type=article&p=123961 Life Time performers share their favorite ways to lift their spirits at Life Time during the fall and winter months.

The post The Go-To Mood-Boosting Activities of 10 Healthy-Living Experts appeared first on Experience Life.

When the sun starts to set a bit earlier and the air turns cooler, many of us feel a dip in our energy — and our mood can follow suit. The transition into the fall and winter months can sometimes bring a sense of sluggishness or seasonal blues, but shorter days don’t have to lead to a darker outlook.

To help you feel energized even when daylight is in short supply, we asked several Life Time performers in New York City how they stay uplifted during the cooler months, both at Life Time and through using the Life Time app.

Shelby Hicks

On-demand performer in the Life Time app and group fitness instructor at Life Time in New York City

When it gets a little colder outside, I love to go to the club, take a class, and then sit in the sauna and listen to a guided meditation. I always walk out feeling invigorated and refreshed.

I’m also a big podcast listener, so I love to get out and walk [while wearing] my weighted vest — even when it’s cold! The Life Time app has so many great Life Time Talks podcast episodes about health, longevity, and more. I learn a lot, which helps me feel productive.

Kenny Ferrer

On-demand performer and meditation teacher in the Life Time app and mindful movement, yoga, and meditation teacher at Life Time PENN, Life Time One Wall Street and Life Time 23rd Street in New York City

The 10-minute “Core With Mary” on-demand class in the Life Time app is one of my go-tos when I need a quick boost. It’s a short workout that focuses on rotational movements. I just love Mary Onyango, and so much of her personality comes through during this short class. It makes me feel good to watch her thrive, and it’s an excellent workout! It’s the perfect pick-me-up before going on with the rest of my day.

Mary Onyango

On-demand performer in the Life Time app and five-star ELI group fitness instructor at Life Time One Wall Street, Life Time Dumbo, Life Time Atlantic Avenue, and Life Time PENN 1 in New York City

When the days get shorter and darker, I start to focus more on recovery. When the weather is colder, I notice that my body and muscles can be more tense, and my joints start to hurt. So, before I teach a class, I go to the LT Recovery space and grab a foam roller or spend time in the massage chairs. And then once a week, I like to get a massage at the LifeSpa to relax my body even more.

My favorite mood-boosting activity in the Life Time app is doing a guided meditation. It’s hard for me to focus on meditating by myself, so I need a bit of guidance, and I’ve found that the Life Time app has so many good options. “State of Calm with Tory” is definitely one of my favorites.

Nick Davis

On-demand performer in the Life Time app and group instructor at Life Time Sky (Manhattan) in New York City

My go-to fall and winter activity at Life Time is using the sauna and cold plunge for contrast therapy. Since I don’t get to spend time outside at the pool during these seasons, this is my way to relax and recover. I find it gives me a mental boost as well.

It’s also social for me — I get together with friends and fellow Life Time team members so we can support each other in our recovery goals.

My favorite feel-good activity in the Life Time app is taking our on-demand stretching classes. It’s very cozy in the winter to light a candle and do a calming, grounding stretching sequence. I especially like to do “MB360 Evening Cool Down with Jessie.”

Bradford Stevens

On-demand performer in the Life Time app and group fitness instructor at Life Time Bryant Park in New York City

I love fall and winter, and when these seasons arrive, group fitness classes are my go-to! When the weather gets a little bit cold and there’s more darkness, you might need that extra push from a community to get your workout in.

Within the Life Time app, I love listening to the Life Time Talks podcast. It’s a great way to get going in the morning with a boost of learning and inspiration.

Saya Tomioka

On-demand performer and yoga and Pilates instructor at Life Time Sky (Manhattan) in New York City

A CTR class is always a mood booster for me! I love to hop on the reformer machine and experience such a unique workout. It’s driven by the rhythm of the music and leaves me feeling empowered at the end of class.

On the Life Time app, I love to take any class that involves dance or high-energy music. It gets me up and moving! Try “Dance and Tone with Jeimy” — it’s so fun, and she’ll get you pumped right up!

Austin Head

On-demand performer in the Life Time app and five-star ELI group fitness instructor at Life Time Dumbo, Life Time Atlantic Avenue, and Life Time Sky (Manhattan) in New York City

My go-to mood booster is the community at Life Time. We’ve built such an incredible community here and it puts me in a great mood just being around my friends and colleagues, teaching classes, participating in events and activities, and planning fun themed classes and events for holidays. I really lean on this community to stay uplifted as the seasons change!

If I need a pick-me-up outside of the club, I love to do a 20-minute MB360 on-demand class in the Life Time app. The movement really helps me access my joy.

Jessie Syfko

On-demand performer in the Life Time app and senior vice president of Life Time Digital

There’s nothing that makes me giggle more or have more fun than getting on the pickleball court with friends. It brings out my inner competitive athlete and is such a mood-booster.

My favorite uplifting activity in the Life Time app is our guided meditation or breathwork sessions. The guided meditations really help me feel grounded and more whole so I can be a better version of myself when I take that step forward into the next part of my day.

Joseph David

On-demand performer in the Life Time app and five-star ELI group fitness instructor at Life Time Dumbo in New York City and Life Time in Florham Park, N.J.

My go-to mood-boosting activity at Life Time is the party we always have after my classes. Community is everything, and after class I love engaging with our members and celebrating the hard work and fun we experienced during class.

Breanna Cummings

On-demand performer in the Life Time app and five-star ELI group fitness instructor at Life Time One Wall Street in New York City

Every time I book a session in the LT Recovery space, my mood instantly lifts. When I first tried the HydroMassage lounge chairs and Normatec compression sleeves, I was hooked. These are two perfect ways to relax both my muscles and my mind.

Exciting news, Boca! Life Time is bringing its second athletic country club, Life Time West Boca, to your community in winter 2025. Additionally, Life Time Boca Raton, Florida’s inaugural Life Time club, is undergoing a renovation that will be complete in spring 2026.

These two extraordinary locations — conveniently located just seven miles apart — will bring the breadth of Life Time’s amenities to Boca Raton residents and help the community live healthier, happier lives.

“We’ve really seen Life Time shine in Boca — we recognize that the community really values a healthy way of life,” says Bryant Au, manager of real estate for Life Time. “We’re excited to bring the next evolution of Life Time to the area through a brand-new club and upgrades to a well-established location.”

Life Time West Boca

First, let’s explore the brand-new 36,643-square-foot Life Time West Boca space:

Life Time West Boca is nestled in the Uptown Boca shopping center and is easily accessible off Glades Road and U.S. Highway 441. The club features ramp parking with direct access to the club’s second-floor entrance from the ramp’s third floor.

After checking in at the front desk, members will see the juice and smoothie lounge — take note, as this is where you can quickly grab a to-go protein shake after your workout. Tip: Order ahead in the Life Time app for an even more expedited experience.

The second floor is also where you’ll find the men’s and women’s locker rooms, featuring fresh towels; showers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash; complimentary daily locker use; and more.

Members can also revive in the coed hydrotherapy suite, which includes a cold plunge, whirlpool, steam room, and cedar sauna.

There are three dedicated studios on the second floor, including one each for Pilates, barre, and yoga. These classes are taught by top performers with options for people of all fitness levels and interests. (Learn more: “Why Life Time Classes Are for Everyone.”)

Life Time West Boca is one of a few select locations nationwide that will offer Life Time’s newest class format, CTR (Core Tone Reform). CTR is a high-energy, low-impact athletic reformer workout designed for all fitness levels. (Learn more: “Core, Tone, Reform: What is CTR at Life Time?”)

Members can visit the expansive workout floor — also on the second floor. It features brand-new free weights, state-of-the-art cardio and resistance-training machines, and designated stretching areas. It’s easy to build and stay consistent with a fitness routine when everything you need is available in one convenient space.

Members looking to improve their strength can partake in Alpha signature group training classes, which are centered around Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning.

Members seeking a more individualized fitness experience or added guidance and accountability can connect one-on-one with a Dynamic Personal Trainer (at an additional cost). (Learn more: “Achieve Your Fitness Goals With Dynamic Personal Training.”)

After your workout, wind down in the LT Recovery zone, where you can find HydroMassage lounge chairs, CryoLounge chairs, Normatec compression therapy devices, and Hyperice vibration therapy devices. (Learn more: “How to Use 3 Popular Recovery Tools at Life Time.”)

For those aiming to incorporate more recovery, stretching, or mobility work into their fitness plans, consider a Dynamic Stretch session in which a stretch specialist takes you through a full-body assisted-stretch session (at an additional cost). (Read more: “What Is Dynamic Stretch?”)

Life Time West Boca will also have three dedicated LifeSpa massage rooms for some well-deserved pampering and muscular support.

The first floor is where members can take a GTX class, another signature group training program that’s a 50/50 blend of cardio and strength work.

Life Time Boca Raton

Now, here’s what’s coming to Life Time Boca Raton:

Life Time Boca Raton’s outdoor pool deck will be beautifully refreshed with lush landscaping and an expanded Beach Club area. Members can swim laps in the Olympic-style lap pool, and when hunger strikes, order healthy eats from the outdoor bistro right from their cabana or lounge chair.

“We want our members to be able to relax on the pool deck like they would in a resort,” says Susan Mistri, senior lead general and area director for Life Time in Florida. “This is going to be a luxurious space.” (Learn more: “Best Summer Ever: 9 Ways to Spend a Day at the Beach Club.”)

The club’s eight outdoor pickleball courts will be revitalized with premium surfaces and an enhanced seating area. Even better? The entire outdoor pickleball area will be covered with shade to protect players from the Florida sun — something that’s going to be “a gamechanger,” according to Mistri.

“During the summer months, it can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit on those courts,” she says. “This shade will help protect players so they can play all day long.”

There will also be a brand-new outdoor Alpha conditioning area with a turf field and state-of-the-art equipment.

Members will also see significant enhancements when they head inside Life Time Boca Raton. The workout floor will have all-new cardio and strength equipment, plus updated cosmetic refreshes throughout.

All six studios, including the general, barre, yoga, cycle, GTX and Ultra Fit, and Alpha studios, will be updated and refreshed with new equipment, lighting, and technology. This will elevate the experiences for all signature group training programs and studio classes.

Rejuvenation and recovery are also going to look a little different at Life Time Boca Raton. In addition to a refreshed LifeCafe, the LifeSpa will expand to include more hairstylist and nail technician stations as well as a new red-light therapy bed offering.

Debuting for the first time at Life Time Boca Raton is MIORA Performance and Longevity, a scientifically advanced and science-backed healthy aging optimization platform that leverages Life Time’s 30 years of healthy-living expertise.

MIORA is all about proactively addressing health concerns and supporting optimal long-term health. The team — including doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered dietitians, and personal trainers — collaborate to create integrated, individualized programs that address what’s not working optimally and aim to get patients on a path toward their best health.

There will also be a new Dynamic Stretch area and an expanded Dynamic Personal Training area.

“Over the last 10 years, Life Time evolved to a full wellness experience,” says Au. “The remodeled Life Time Boca Raton will now be a full realization of what Life Time is today. We’re investing in its refresh so Boca members can have the best form of our athletic country clubs.”

When Peg Burgess was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2022, her treatment plan included an eight-hour surgery and multiple rounds of chemotherapy treatment. After several months of treatment, her body was at its weakest.

“When I got out of the hospital after each round of chemo, I couldn’t walk more than five steps,” Burgess, 70, recalls. “I wanted to do something to feel strong, and I decided I wasn’t going to let cancer run my life.”

In October 2024 — after hearing she was in remission and would likely be for at least 15 more months — she decided it was time to rebuild her strength, so she signed up for an Intro to Dynamic Personal Training session at Life Time MetroWest-Boston in Framingham, Mass. It’s made all the difference. Exercise has helped Burgess not only regain strength and continue to fight her disease, but it’s also lead her to a close friendship that’s a vital part of her support system.

Determination Makes the Difference

Burgess’s determination stood out to Ronald Drago, Dynamic Personal Trainer at Life Time MetroWest-Boston, who met Burgess in that introductory session. “Right off the bat, I noticed that even though she was unfamiliar with weight training, she was a high-effort performer,” he says. “She puts 100 percent into every single rep and set. I’ve never worked with someone who works quite as hard as Peg — and I’ve been doing this for over two decades.”

“Before my diagnosis, I had previously worked with a number of personal trainers, but I would go for a month and then stop,” Burgess explains. “But with Ron, I immediately felt comfortable during that first session. It had been so long since I last worked out, just moving my body felt amazing, and it got better every time.”

Burgess’s motivation was inspiring for Drago from the get-go, but as they worked together and he learned more about what she was dealing with, it became even more extraordinary. When her cancer returned in February 2025 and she had to begin treatment again, their partnership became even stronger.

“I decided to stay with it because it made such a difference in my life,” she says. “Every day I come into the club, and I can do something I couldn’t before on the workout floor. And over time, even everyday activities are just easier for me.”

Peg Burgess and her trainer

Strength Found in Showing Up

Drago and Burgess continued training together three to four times a week. While their original goal was to build Burgess’s resilience to withstand treatment, she also discovered a love of strength training and developed a wonderful friendship with Drago.

“I get disappointed if I’m not sore after a workout,” she laughs. “It’s not work for me, it’s a delight. Ron and I have become very good friends. We have a lot of fun.”

Although there are plenty of times when Burgess doesn’t feel great, she never gives up. Immediately following an infusion is when patients often feel their sickest, and there are times when she can’t make it to the club. So Drago goes to her house, and they continue to work together until she feels strong enough to come back to Life Time.

“Peg has a unique quality in that she pushes every rep to the max,” says Drago. “Even if the volume needs to be adjusted, the level of intensity is always high, even when she’s not feeling great.”

As Burgess has continued with cancer treatment, she’s become a bright light for other members at Life Time MetroWest-Boston who are awestruck at her journey and success. “I’ve talked to other members who have undergone cancer treatment, and they’re in disbelief that Peg is able to work out four to five days a week while going through it,” Drago says.

Burgess admits that she’s not out of the woods yet, but the plan to strengthen her body is working — and so is her treatment. While there’s no end-date set for her infusions, she’s had positive visits with her doctors who are encouraged with her progress; they see a path to reducing the treatment load in the future.

She’s also feeling less sick after each chemo session and seeing muscle in places that she never has before. “You can definitely see how Peg’s muscle mass has increased, and every time she finds a new muscle, she’ll show it to you,” Drago laughs. “I was watching her train one day and I said to myself, She doesn’t appear to be someone who’s getting sicker. The good days outweigh the bad now.”

The Force of Friendship

Drago and Burgess’s friendship is clear to anyone who sees them training together, but especially to Mark Airoldi, personal training leader at Life Time MetroWest-Boston.

“Ron is a hard-nosed ex-Marine, and to see the degree of love and care he has for Peg is inspiring,” says Airoldi. “I’ve seen Ron transform as a person since they met. The fact that he has shown that degree of care has inspired our entire team. It puts into perspective what we do and why we do it. To say it’s been powerful wouldn’t do it justice.”

Burgess can attest. “Working with Ron and strength training has made such a difference in my life. I’ll never do strength training without Ron. He’s my absolute favorite, and I adore him. I feel like he’s saving my life.”

The adoration is mutual. “I feel that I’ve learned as much from Peg as she’s learned from me,” Ron says. “It’s helped me become a better trainer. We laugh a lot. We try to make the best out of the situation. I have someone who I feel will be in my life as long as we can.”

Life Time Fishers, which originally opened in 2011 as the second Life Time location in Indiana, is experiencing a total transformation across its 31,400 square feet. The planned renovations bring a breadth of new amenities to members and will be ready to enjoy in December — just in time for members to head into 2026 with renewed momentum.

“Life Time Fishers will remain a place for members who want an intimate fitness experience,” says Adam Jacobsen, lead general at Life Time Fishers and an Indiana native. “But [it will] be executed in a way that brings Life Time’s premium mission to life from the ground up.”

Let’s check out the upgrades coming to Life Time Fishers:

gtx studio at fishers

Perhaps one of the biggest updates for the club is the integration of Life Time’s signature group training programs: GTX, Alpha, and Ultra Fit. GTX is a 50/50 blend of cardio and strength work; Alpha is a centered around Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning; and Ultra Fit offers a combination of sprint-interval training with balance and strength efforts.

“Life Time’s signature group training formats feature results-driven programming, deep community, and world-class coaching,” says Jacobsen. “This is what our Life Time community strives for — to provide the most effective services and tools to help members get from where they are now to where they want to be.”

On the first floor, the designated GTX studio is fully enclosed for an immersive experience. There is also a dedicated Alpha space, which will ramp up the club’s available power racks from two to 15 (with 10 reserved for Alpha class participants). “Through this power-rack upgrade, we’ll be better able to accommodate the fitness needs of the strength trainers in our community,” says Jacobsen.

workout floor at fishers

The workout floor will also receive a substantial refresh with all-new equipment, including free weights, state-of-the-art cardio and resistance-training machines, and designated stretching areas. “A hand-picked, highly functional equipment package will add versatility and options to our diverse community,” notes Jacobsen.

Life Time Fishers will also be one of a select few locations nationwide to offer Life Time’s newest class format, CTR (Core Tone Reform), and will do so in its own studio. CTR is a high-energy, low-impact athletic reformer workout designed for all fitness levels. (Learn more: “Core, Tone, Reform: What is CTR at Life Time?”)

The club will also feature a private Pilates studio for one-on-one training on the reformer. “Our CTR and Pilates studios will help round out the ensemble of fitness offerings at Life Time,” says Jacobsen.

Members seeking a more individualized fitness experience or guidance and accountability will now have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with a Dynamic Personal Trainer (at an additional cost). (Learn more: “Achieve Your Fitness Goals With Dynamic Personal Training.”)

“Dynamic Personal Training offers an experience you simply can’t recreate on your own — it’s hands-on coaching and support for your personalized fitness needs and goals,” shares Jacobsen. “We’re thrilled to bring this to Fishers for the very first time.”

recovery space at fishers

The remodel also adds a brand-new LT Recovery zone where members can wind down and tend to exercised muscles with HydroMassage lounge chairs, CryoLounge chairs, Normatec compression therapy devices, and Hyperice vibration therapy devices. (Learn more: “How to Use 3 Popular Recovery Tools at Life Time.”)

For those aiming to incorporate more recovery, stretching, or mobility work into their fitness plans, consider a Dynamic Stretch session — also a new offering for Life Time Fishers. In these 25- or 50-minute sessions, a stretch specialist takes you through a full-body assisted stretch (at an additional cost). (Read more: “What Is Dynamic Stretch?”)

Both the men’s and women’s locker rooms will be fully refinished with updated showers and saunas and new amenities like conditioner, Q-tips, mouthwash, and razors.

The Kids Academy space, including its infant room and toddler area, will also get a cosmetic refresh. Parents can drop off their kids ages three months to 11 years at the Kids Academy for healthy and engaging care and programming while they use other areas of the club.

life time work club lounge at fishers

Fishers will also have a Life Time Work Club Lounge — an open-plan, community-style coworking space on the first floor that’s complimentary for members. (Learn more: “What Is the Life Time Work Club Lounge?”)

“We have a lot of young professionals who work remotely, and we’ll now have a space where they can conveniently do that and fit it into their healthy-way-of-life routine,” says Jacobsen. “It’s about making a healthy way of life easier and more integrated. We want you to be able to take a signature group training class and then only have to pop downstairs to get your emails fired out.”

This remodel serves as a tribute to the community and the members who have been part of Life Time Fishers for the last decade, says Jacobsen. “This is our opportunity to pay them back for their loyalty to Life Time Fishers. We want to create a space our members are proud of — and one that invites new members into the special community that exists here.”

How to Succeed in a Fitness Challenge https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/how-to-succeed-in-a-fitness-challenge/ Tue, 09 Sep 2025 13:00:18 +0000 https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/?post_type=article&p=123080 Three 60XT Challenge winners share their stories and offer their top tips for success.

The post How to Succeed in a Fitness Challenge appeared first on Experience Life.

With life’s constant stream of new adventures, challenges, and to-dos, adding to your routine can feel overwhelming. But healthier living often starts with a simple goal and a question: What if I just committed to this for a few weeks?

Whether you’re aiming to move your body more, build muscle, adopt consistent exercise habits, or reach another milestone, forward progress requires taking it one step at a time, one day at a time. A fitness challenge can be an effective and motivating way to start moving toward your objective, providing you with the tools you need to get where you want to go. And what starts as a few-week commitment often ends up resulting in a lifestyle change.

Earlier this year, the eight-week 60XT Challenge at Life Time helped more than 25,000 people dedicate focused time to their goals with daily workouts, healthy habit tracking, guidance from Dynamic Personal Trainers, and more. This supportive environment made all the difference for participants who were looking to reach the next level in their fitness or achieve a new goal.

The 60XT Challenge also included an optional competition, and at the end of the challenge, five winners were selected based on their physical and mental transformations. We asked three of them to share their experiences and offer advice on how to maximize every part of a fitness challenge. If you’re considering doing one yourself, keep reading — these Life Time members know what it takes to achieve success.

Scarlett Espinoza

Member at Life Time Miami at the Falls in Miami, Fla.

After shattering three bones in her left foot in July 2024, Scarlett Espinoza was determined to improve her mobility post-surgery and rebuild the strength she lost.

Prior to her injury, Espinoza had been a regular at Life Time. When her return to the club coincided with the 60XT Challenge, she saw the program’s structure as a way to stay consistent.

Using the daily checklist, as well as the in-person programming, she trained with intention and focus. She says the challenge helped her regain both physical and mental strength.

By the end of the 60 days, Espinoza gained six pounds of muscle mass and dropped her body-fat percentage from 30 to 16 percent.

“The 60XT challenge and Life Time have changed me in the most unexpected and incredible ways possible,” she says. “I saw definition return to my arms and legs, and my confidence hit levels I hadn’t felt in years. The small daily efforts added up and it meant that I was healing.”

Espinoza’s Fitness Challenge Tips

1. Put yourself first. A fitness challenge presents a specific time block to focus on your goals, so it’s important to remember that this is your moment. “I entered this challenge with the goal to win, but I also wanted to get healthier and get stronger,” Espinoza says. “I learned how to prioritize wellness over other areas of my life because I kept thinking that for the next 60 days, I’m doing this for the future me.”

2. Don’t underestimate internal progress. How you feel mentally is just as important as how you look and feel on the outside. “At first, I couldn’t really see the progress, so I had to remind myself that whether or not I could see the muscles, I felt stronger on the inside,” Espinoza explains. “I had to shift my mindset to focus on embodying the strength I felt through things like standing up taller or being more confident.”

Bharon Hoag

Member at Life Time Easton in Columbus, Ohio

Approaching his 50th birthday, Bharon Hoag knew it was time for a change. A chiropractor for 30 years, Hoag has spent decades learning about health and wellness, and he wanted to more fully embody the lifestyle he has long encouraged his clients to pursue.

Hoag’s journey at Life Time began with playing pickleball, and his fitness focus shifted to strength training after meeting Andrew Blosser, a Dynamic Personal Trainer at Life Time Easton. The two began working together in September 2024, and Blosser encouraged Hoag to join the 60XT Challenge. The transformation program was the perfect opportunity to increase Hoag’s training intensity and dial in on all aspects of healthy living, including nutrition and recovery.

Throughout the 60XT Challenge, Hoag lost 29 pounds and decreased his body fat by 9 percent. “Staying committed and getting to Life Time almost every single day are victories for me,” Hoag says. “This has been the first time I’ve made that a priority. Before I do anything else in the day, I’m at Life Time doing my workouts, and for me, that has been awesome.”

Hoag’s Fitness Challenge Tips

1. Find your community. The support of a community can make a huge difference in staying consistent. For Hoag, every smile or high five from a Life Time team member and unsolicited congratulations from fellow club goers motivated him to continue his journey.

“We were never intended or built to do things alone,” Hoag says. “Being part of a community allows you to build off each other. The camaraderie during the 60XT challenge was awesome because we were all working toward our own goals but still together.”

2. Find motivation in the program. Fitness challenges provide structure, deadlines, and often include a competitive aspect — all of which can be powerful motivators. Hoag credits these elements to keeping him accountable.

“The 60XT challenge was fun because it was a finite period of time,” Hoag says. “Knowing I was going to have to take ‘after’ photos was what helped me stay committed.”

Chaya Sanders

Member at Life Time Bergen County, in Montvale, N.J.

Between homeschooling and her kids’ activities, Chaya Sanders felt like she had lost sight of her own self-care. She wanted to reconnect with herself and regain control of her health.

Initially Sanders joined her local Life Time to give her kids a chance to grow and socialize through Life Time’s Kids Academy programming. She decided to take the leap and sign up for the 60XT Challenge after being encouraged by both Life Time team members and family.

Sanders worked with Greg Wetterau, Dynamic Personal Trainer at Life Time Bergen County, throughout the challenge, focusing on small daily habits such as staying hydrated and counting steps. Her goal was to make healthy living an effortless part of her busy schedule.

This challenge was a turning point, and she credits it for both physical and mental improvement and for helping her prioritize herself. Over the 60 days, Sanders lost 20 pounds and decreased her body fat by 10 percent.

“The 60XT Challenge didn’t just change my body — it changed my mindset, my routine, and the way I show up for myself,” Sanders says. “I’m stronger mentally and emotionally. I found myself again.”

Sanders’ Fitness Challenge Tips

1. Just start. There’s never a perfect time to start working out or to do a fitness challenge, so take the leap now. “If you’re thinking about doing it, just go for it,” Sanders says. “I wish I had trusted the process sooner because progress comes from consistency. You have to stop overthinking and just start.”

2. Focus on one day at a time. Don’t let the length of the program overwhelm you. Instead, focus on your daily habits.

“I took it one day at time rather than thinking about all 60 days. It was one decision at a time instead of every decision all at once,” Sanders says. “Thinking about the challenge in this way made it more doable and helped me stay grounded on hard days.”

3 Ways to Be a Life Time Club Hopper https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/3-ways-to-be-a-life-time-club-hopper/ Fri, 05 Sep 2025 13:00:47 +0000 https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/?post_type=article&p=122791 Members share their strategies for visiting the network of more than 180 athletic country clubs and how it meets their healthy-living needs.

The post 3 Ways to Be a Life Time Club Hopper appeared first on Experience Life.

]]>

For many Life Time members, their athletic country club is their home away from home. They know where all their favorite machines are, can navigate the club with ease, and often see familiar faces as they move through the spaces.

But have you ever been curious about the experience at another Life Time? Perhaps you pass one on your commute to work, or one catches your eye while you’re vacationing in another city or state. Life Time has a robust network of more than 180 clubs across the United States and Canada, and depending on your membership type, you could have access to more than your home club.

For many Life Time members, the ability to “club hop” — or leverage more than one location — has unlocked new possibilities for their personal health and fitness. Here, discover a few ways some members are making the most of this benefit. They may just inspire you to do so, too.

1. Visit Life Times across the country.

This is a frequent occurrence for Asiel Adame, a Life Time member based in Dallas, Texas, who travels at least twice a week for work, hitting major cities like San Diego, Chicago, Denver, and Phoenix.

Adame’s job involves physically intensive labor across construction, railroad, and industrial environments. Working out is not just a hobby for him: It’s a form of critical maintenance for his health and professional success.

“I constantly use my body to get my job done, whether I’m working on something mechanically or crawling into confined spaces,” he says. “This means I have to prioritize my muscles, my endurance, and my stamina all the time — even while on the road.”

Adame visits close to 120 different Life Time clubs in the span of a year (and this doesn’t account for the clubs he swipes into more than once). Being able to access a Life Time club nearly everywhere he travels puts him at ease, he says.

“If I stay in this sector of work, then I need to be able to work out, and I need to be able to do that no matter where I am. It’s my safety at stake. I know I’m going to do a great job at work because my body and mindset are primed for it.”

Adame appreciates the consistent culture and environment inside every Life Time location, while noting that each club still brings some of its own unique attributes.

“It makes you feel like you’re not getting bored with the same thing,” he says. “The culture, the foundation, and structure Life Time has — nobody can rival that for me. It’s truly a spectacle to see that Life Time does not lack in any location I’ve been to.”

2. Maximize your local network of clubs.

Trey Mattson is another Life Time member who club hops but does so regionally inside his home state of Minnesota, which has 23 Life Time athletic country clubs. “I own a security company, and it takes me all over the Twin Cities, so I never know where I’m going to end up,” he explains. “It’s nice to be able to access multiple club locations, so no matter where I am on a given day, I’m not far from a Life Time when I’m done with work.”

His work is also physically demanding, which moved Mattson to leverage a Life Time Corporate Partnership for his employees, where he supplements a portion of their membership. “My employees’ health is really important to me,” he says. “One thing I’ve learned throughout the years of owning a business is that the more your employees feel taken care of, the more it’s reciprocated. We did the research and decided that Life Time is the most well-equipped when it comes to amenities and location availability.”

Some of Mattson’s employees also take his lead on visiting multiple club locations. For instance, one employee swipes into a Life Time club twice a day due to his long commute. “He uses Life Time to decompress before and after work and also workout and shower so he can drive home clean after a long day of working,” says Mattson.

“My employees love the ability to use multiple clubs in the Twin Cities area along with the convenient amenities like towels, razors, shampoo, and soap in the locker rooms. Some of our employees work 12- to 15-hour days, so it’s nice that they don’t have to haul a bunch of stuff around with them because they know it’ll be available at Life Time.”

3. Check out a new-to-you club while on vacation.

Roz Frydberg, ARORA lead and group fitness coach at Life Time Woodbridge in Toronto, Canada, is an avid traveler and says she loves seeing visiting members at her location. “One of my favorite things is when a member comes up to me and introduces themselves as a visitor from another club,” says Frydberg. “Here in Toronto, I recently met a couple from Texas, as well as a couple from California. It is so much fun to engage with them and hear their stories and experiences.”

With locations in more than 40 major markets, the chances of finding a Life Time near your vacation destination are pretty good. Do some research ahead of time about your options, then consider checking out the nearest location. There’s a good possibility the club may have a few spaces or amenities that are different than those in your home club.

“When we travel, it’s a great way to open our bodies and minds to new experiences, and that can extend to your health and fitness,” says Frydberg. “Try a class at a new-to-you club or open the app and find a workout you may not have tried before. It’s a great way to stay motivated no matter where you are in the world.

“I also love to do a little extra pampering on vacation with a visit to the LifeSpa — or just take a moment to relax among the resort-like amenities, including the sauna, steam room, or whirlpool,” she adds.

You can also invite your travel companion to tag along — if they’re not a member, they can use a guest pass.

Members have access to any club location during occasional travel outside of the home network of clubs in their state. This benefit is available for short-term travel (no longer than one week) and is subject to each club’s discretion. If you’re planning a trip, contact the club you’d like to visit for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions About Club Hopping

Life Time membership offerings and inclusions vary by membership type and club location, so we asked Paul Lijewski, vice president of membership product and pricing at Life Time, to answer some common questions around visiting multiple clubs.

Life Time | What are the benefits of being able to club hop within Life Time’s network of clubs?

Paul Lijewski | Life Time has clubs in more than 30 states, and we’re constantly expanding our footprint. Being able to club hop is valuable for many reasons. If you’re traveling a lot for work across the country or even across a state with a dense network of clubs, then you’re able to access multiple options and have flexibility without foregoing a luxury experience.

As amenities can vary by club, members might also have program-based preferences. For example, one person might prefer to play at their club’s outdoor pickleball courts versus another club that only has indoor courts, or someone might be loyal to a certain group fitness coach who teaches at multiple clubs, or you may choose to lounge at an outdoor pool at a different club than one you typically go to.

When your membership allows you to access multiple clubs, there are fewer limitations on where you can go as a member and what experiences you can have.

LT | What type of Life Time membership grants you access to more than one club?

PL | It’s all based on the price of the club that you initially joined. In other words, it depends on how much you pay for your membership dues. As a member, you pay for access to a certain club, and you then automatically get access to other clubs with the same-priced dues and below, even across state and country lines.

Say you wanted to have access to all clubs nationwide, then you could join Life Time Rancho San Clemente, which is the highest tier club. If you bought that membership, then you would have access to every Life Time location. As you go down the price ladder, you’ll have access to fewer clubs.

LT | How can I check to see what Life Time clubs I have access to?

PL | In the Life Time app, go to “View My Reservations,” then “Make a Reservation.” Tap on “Change Club” in the upper right. Go to the “View All” tab, and make sure the toggle is switched to the right for “Only clubs I have access to.” You can see all the clubs you can access broken down by state.

You can also talk to your home club’s concierge team, and they can pull up your membership to see which clubs you can access. They can even tell you how much it would cost to upgrade your membership to include additional club access.

LT | What if I want to experience another Life Time club location, but my current membership price point doesn’t grant me access?

PL | Go ahead and try it out anyway! Contact the club you’d like to visit and tell the concierge team you’d like to visit for a day. We encourage all members to check out different Life Time locations, especially when traveling.

LT | Can I bring a guest to a club outside of my home club?

PL | Yes! If your membership price point grants you access to a certain club, then your guests can also access that club.

LT | How can I make a reservation outside of my home club?

PL | In the Life Time app, go to “View My Reservations,” then “Make a Reservation.” Tap on “Change Club” in the upper right. On the “Your clubs” tab on the left, you’ll be able to tap the club where you’d like to reserve a class or make an appointment. If you’re looking to do so at a club outside of your home area, instead go to the “View All” tab and make sure the toggle is switched to the right for “Only clubs I have access to” and then you can navigate to make your reservation. It also breaks down specific club details like hours, directions, schedules, services, and other information alerts. You can always reach out to the club’s concierge team for assistance too.

Note: Access to certain services, programs, amenities, or areas within a club (including outdoor pools and racquet courts) may be restricted, conditioned, or otherwise limited by specific terms and may require a separate or supplemental fee for access or use (e.g., your access to the outdoor pool area may require a separate fee and be limited to your designated club). Actual spaces may appear different depending on club. See club for additional terms and conditions that may apply.

Life Time’s access memberships generally afford access to a network of clubs based on recurring monthly dues rates at variable pricing determined by club and market. Life Time allows members access to clubs at a higher dues rate during occasional, short-term travel to markets outside their home markets. Where a member’s current membership does not allow access to a club in the market of their short-term visit, they may use a club at a higher dues rate in that market on a short-term basis (no longer than one week, subject to club discretion) without purchasing a One-Day Membership. This travel benefit is not available for travel within a market, or for longer-term, regular or routine work, vacation or seasonal living outside a member’s home market, which would require a membership upgrade, and is subject to all other membership terms and conditions and Guest & Club Policies. Membership levels, types, amenities, services, programs and their associated dues, pricing, fees and/or charges may vary by location and are subject to change.

Life Time continues to grow in communities around North America, bringing a healthy way of life to new cities every year. Anticipation builds as each new location comes to life, and when the club finally opens, members are fired up and ready to experience all that their new club has to offer.

To help you maximize some of your new membership benefits right away, we pulled together a helpful checklist that we suggest completing as first steps now that your club is open.

1. Complete your first week of workouts.

The amount of workout equipment available and movement possibilities at Life Time can make it challenging to know where to start — especially if you’re new to exercise or returning after a hiatus.

To help you get started and explore your options, a Life Time Dynamic Personal Trainer created a weeklong plan balanced with cardio, strength, and recovery that allows you to try a variety of the equipment, classes, and amenities that are available to you at your club.

See the workout plan here: “Your First Week of Workouts at Life Time.”

2. Meet with a Dynamic Personal Trainer.

No matter where you are in your fitness journey, a session with a Dynamic Personal Trainer can help you get or stay on track. As a new Life Time member, you’ll receive a complimentary 50-minute session with one of Life Time’s fitness professionals once the club opens. You’ll discuss your goals, try some new workout moves, and leave with a personalized plan for moving forward. To get started, book your Intro to Dynamic Personal Training session in the Life Time app.

3. Try a new-to-you class.

Group fitness classes can be a great place to start when looking to create a workout routine you enjoy and will stick with. From yoga and barre to strength training and high-intensity interval training, every class offers unique benefits, provides a like-minded community for support, and follows a pre-planned workout — all you need to do is show up and move through it.

You can learn more about all your options with “The Ultimate Guide to Life Time Classes.”

Be sure to check your club’s schedule for class days and times, as offerings vary. You can reserve your spot in class ahead of time in the Life Time app.

4. Spark a new self-care routine.

Making time to care for yourself is essential for your health and well-being, and booking an appointment at the LifeSpa is an opportune way to get a moment for self-care on the calendar. As a new Life Time member, you get $50 off your first service or purchase at the LifeSpa. Treat yourself to any hair, skin, nail, or massage service — or stock up on your favorite self-care products. To get started, book your appointment in the Life Time app.

Note: LifeSpa offerings may vary by location.

5. Ask L•AI•C to be your guide — and fully explore the Life Time app.

The Life Time app brings the best experts, instructors, and programs to you, wherever and whenever you need it. With just a few taps on your phone, you can do everything from your daily workout or a guided meditation to asking L•AI•C, Life Time’s AI companion, for insights on all your health and wellness questions. These are just a few of things you can do in the Life Time app:

Ask L•AI•C: L•AI•C (pronounced “lay-see”) can help with questions related to your health, your workouts, Life Time offerings, and more. The more you use L•AI•C, the more it can learn about you and be better able to tailor its responses to your preferences, interests, and goals.

Take an on-demand class: Each week in the Life Time app, you’ll find new on-demand classes — featuring some of Life Time’s top instructors — aimed at helping you build strength, elevate your cardio, recover, and more.
