What Is a Resident Concierge? https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/what-is-a-resident-concierge/ Wed, 16 Feb 2022 14:00:57 +0000 https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/?post_type=article&p=54697 Learn how this team member helps Life Time Living residents take their health and wellness to a whole new level.

While a restaurant reservation, local attraction recommendation, or arranged transportation are all helpful perks of residing in a luxury apartment complex that offers a concierge on staff, what if that person was able to provide even more assistance to you?

The unique resident concierges employed at Life Time Living destinations make it easier for you to enjoy a healthy way of life.

Their role is to deliver what we refer to as “connected living.” Think of it this way: When a new member walks through the doors of a Life Time athletic resort, the membership concierge helps them navigate the club, get connected with trainers and classes, and answer any questions. At Life Time Living, the resident concierge serves a similar purpose, connecting residents to all the opportunities available to them at the complex and in the surrounding area — specifically tailored to their needs and preferences.

Residents are connected with a concierge before their first night in their apartment home. During this initial conversation, the concierge learns about the resident’s interests and health goals so that, in turn, they can provide the best recommendations for fitness classes; services such as chiropractic, salon, or spa; personal trainers; nutritionists; and any other Life Time offerings designed to improve their health.

“Life Time is providing a deep level of concierge wellness services,” says Sarah Kohler, director of multifamily residential operations at Life Time Living. “For example, we’ll connect the resident with a specific massage therapist onsite that best fits their needs. That personalization of service is what we’re all accustomed to within the club. Now we’re taking it to a whole new level in members’ living environment to ensure residents are connected in all aspects of their life, not just the time they spend in the club.”

To illustrate, here are some examples of how a resident concierge might facilitate “connected living”:

  • A resident admits they don’t have time to cook during the week, so the resident concierge helps them set up a weekly or bi-weekly delivery of fresh and healthy meals from the LifeCafe.
  • A resident mentions that they have a busy travel schedule over the next few months, so the resident concierge connects them with a trainer who can work with them both in the club and virtually.
  • A resident says their stress levels have been high, but there are no yoga classes offered in the club at their preferred workout time of 5 a.m. The resident concierge loans the resident a yoga mat and yoga blocks to take an on-demand class using the Life Time Digital app.
  • A resident needs help understanding the role nutrition plays in building muscle. The resident concierge schedules a pantry restock two-part coaching session with a nutritionist. The resident and nutritionist sift through the resident’s pantry to remove any foods that may sabotage their health goals, then they shop together to optimize cooking and stocking their pantry with foods to help the resident reach their goals.

“Connection — in any form — is what we’re always striving for at Life Time,” explains Mark Huckaby, regional leasing manager at Life Time Living. “The buildings and spaces are beautiful, but it’s the connections and experiences that set us apart. What we’re trying to do at Life Time Living is make a concentrated effort around how we deliver our brand day in and day out for those who are living here, bringing Life Time into their life whether in their living room or kitchen or through the other different services we provide.”

Life Time Living strives to create a resort-type experience that lasts. “I always tell people to think about what it’s like to take a week resort vacation or embark on a yoga retreat,” Huckaby says. “Then, imagine if you lived there. Picture residing in an environment that’s going to help you consistently reach your goals, whatever those goals are — happy living, better sleep, improved fitness — that’s the experience we’re looking to deliver to every resident.”

In addition to the resident concierge assisting residents navigate and access Life Time’s services and amenities, they also play a role in helping to grow and facilitate the building’s community.

Events and experiences are held for residents to gather, meet, and spend time with one another. These resident-exclusive events could range from poolside Pilates to a 1920s-themed Gatsby party.

“Our residence concierges facilitate these resident events to build a connection that spans beyond the club,” says Kohler. “This is a like-minded community. It’s people who are living together who all choose health and wellness as a significant priority in their lives and can support each other in their goals, whether they’re training as a group for the Miami Marathon or find quiet moments to meditate together on the pool deck. That’s our differentiator, our constant connection to wellness.”

Comfort and Joy at Home: 14 Holiday Décor Ideas https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/comfort-and-joy-at-home-14-holiday-decor-ideas/ Thu, 11 Nov 2021 14:00:06 +0000 https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/?post_type=article&p=50936 Decking out your living space for the holidays can either be exciting or overwhelming — and oftentimes a challenge if you’re more limited in square footage. These sensory tips can help bring the season into homes of all sizes.

The post Comfort and Joy at Home: 14 Holiday Décor Ideas appeared first on Experience Life.

Every home deserves some holiday TLC, no matter its age, style, or square footage, and the winter months provide plenty of opportunities to gather at home. This year, choose to decorate yours with some extra joy and cheer.

If you’re looking around your living space and thinking, Where do I even begin? don’t worry — we’ve got some ideas. It can be a challenge to figure out where to focus your décor efforts so it’s intentional and not overwhelming or cluttered, particularly if you live in an apartment or smaller home. So we asked Elaine Van Someren, senior interior designer for Life Time, to help guide us.

“When decorating for the holidays, I would encourage you to look to the senses,” says Van Someren. “Pick at least one thing that’s going to engage each of your five senses.” She offers these suggestions.

Satisfying Scents

Make loved ones feel at home with aromas that incite a sense of the season.

1. Aromatherapy. Use a diffuser to release essential oils with scents such as peppermint, cinnamon, clove, or fir needle. (Find DIY holiday blends and instructions for how to make a reed diffuser here.)

2. Candles. Light a scented, seasonal candle — just be sure to opt for healthier options that are made with beeswax or are soy-based. Traditional candles can emit a range of volatile organic compounds that can cause headaches and even respiratory problems.

3. Nature. Bring outside in by decorating with branches, pinecones, cinnamon sticks, rosemary wreaths, and eucalyptus. They not only look good but also smell fantastic.

Pleasant to the Ear

Sounds can elevate our moods and promote relaxation. Tailor the ambiance to your preferences.

4. Holiday music. Cue up a playlist of holiday classics. From “White Christmas” to “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” fill your home with the sounds of these seasonal tunes.

5. Fireplace illusion. Don’t have a fireplace? Project a faux one on your TV or laptop via streaming options such as Fireplace for Your Home on Netflix and fill your space with realistic, crackling sounds of a fire.

Mouthwatering Tastes

Many gatherings, especially this time of year, revolve around food. Serve healthy eats full of holiday flavors — and smells.

6. Baking. With a few simple substitutions, you can increase the health quotient of your favorite holiday baked goods. Spend time making treats to enjoy (their enticing aromas are an added sensory bonus). Consider these healthy(ish) holiday cookies.

7. Beverages. A beautifully crafted beverage poured in a purposely selected glass or mug is a decoration in and of itself. Set them on a coffee table for guests or spruce up a drink bar or cart with prepared drinks such as mulled cider with hibiscus, maca mint cocoa, spiced nog, or any of these other winter mocktails.

8. Meals. Start your day off with a candy cane or cinnamon roll protein shake, snack from a holiday charcuterie board or bowl of spiced nuts, or enjoy festive dishes such as maple-apple meatballs, green bean casserole, or sweet potato mash with pomegranate.

Cozy to the Touch

Snuggle up in materials made to comfort.

9. Blankets. Decorate your couch, accent chairs, and bed with throw blankets with festive designs or colors, or ones made of materials that are perfect to wrap up in during the colder weather months.

10. Slippers. Don’t underestimate the power of a comfortable pair of slippers. Wear around the house or even toss in a bag to bring to friends and families’ homes for some transportable coziness.

Appealing to the Eye

This is the most obvious form of decorating that people focus on — and it is an important one for bringing an attractive, festive feel to your home.

11. Lighting. Illuminate your space with a string of lights. Hang from kitchen cabinets or staircases, around centerpieces, or on fireplace mantels or decks or balconies. You can even wrap around a greenery garland before hanging. Also, consider dimmable lights and lamps to add ambiance to any room.

12. Wrapped presents. If you’re planning on exchanging gifts, why not wrap them in advance to use as décor? (These zero-waste gift wrapping ideas are fun alternatives to traditional paper.)

13. Holiday cards. Instead of adding to a mail pile, hang cards you receive on the fridge, door, wall, or bulletin board. This is an easy way to decorate that other family members and guests will enjoy looking at, too.

14. Staple décor. Choose certain items to switch out by season to bring a holiday feel to your home without adding additional decoration. These pieces could include rugs, throw pillows, wall décor, hand towels, placemats, dishes, or centerpieces.

Along with embracing the five senses, Van Someren also advises sticking to a color scheme to promote a sense of unity and wholeness throughout your home. “I recommend choosing a color theme, like silver or gold, and have that be your anchor,” says Van Someren. “I’d also say that if you want to forgo all these tips and simply cover your whole place in tinsel, go for it. It’s your space and you should do whatever will bring you joy.”

Live, Work, Play: The Benefits of an All-Inclusive Community https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/live-work-play-the-benefits-of-an-all-inclusive-community/ Fri, 29 Oct 2021 13:00:51 +0000 https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/?post_type=article&p=50377 Where you live, the way you work, and how you play all contribute to overall well-being — and having them all integrated can support a well-rounded healthy way of life.

When you think about the buckets that make up your daily life, there are likely three main areas that come to mind: a home for comfort and shelter, work that engages and supports you, and play by way of activity and socialization. Now imagine prioritizing the best of all these elements and having them come together in one convenient place. For residents of Life Time Living in Coral Gables, Fla., that’s the reality.

“For me to talk about my life now, I have to reference what it was like before,” says Ryan Bosson, a resident in one of the nearly 500 apartment homes in the recently opened multi-use complex. “I was living in Atlanta, and on an ideal day, I would wake up around 4:30 a.m. to drive to my Life Time club. I like to watch the sunrise, so I would then drive to Stone Mountain to see the sunrise around 7 a.m., before driving to work. I would prefer to head back to Life Time for my evening workout before heading home, but due to the commute, I couldn’t justify spending 70 miles in the car five days a week. Sometimes, I’d only make it to Life Time twice a day, two days a week.”

Bosson moved into Life Time Living Coral Gables in July 2021. “Here, I wake up, walk down to the club, and then before the sun rises, I ride the elevator back up to my apartment to watch the sunrise above the city from my balcony. I can work here and go to the club here, entirely eliminating my daily commute. It’s incredible.”

In 2021, Life Time’s mission to deliver a healthy way of life for its members evolved to offer this integrated concept that Bosson describes: a single destination where you can live, work, and play. This model is the combination of Life Time Living, which offers high-end apartment homes, Life Time Athletic Resorts, and Life Time Work coworking spaces, all located in close proximity to one another (either in the same building or a short walk away, depending on the location).

More important than vicinity or convenience, however, is that these spaces are first and foremost thoughtfully designed to support residents’ health and well-being. Hear about the ways people can live, work, and play here.

Live

“When I first moved in, I stayed in for 17 days straight,” says Bosson. “I was shooting for a month, but then I wanted to check out the beach.”

The apartment homes are designed with intention: Sleep restfully with soundproof walls; control the temperature using an app on your phone; prepare meals on nonreactive granite countertops; walk across wood plank flooring that minimizes allergens; and enjoy natural light from oversized windows.

The Resident Services Team is also available 24/7 to assist with needs, whether it be scheduling a treatment at the LifeSpa, ordering delivery from the LifeCafe, or arranging for weights to be brought up for at-home workouts.

In addition to the Life Time club being available for residents’ fitness pursuits, many choose to also take advantage of its features throughout other parts of their day. “Sometimes I’ll be here on a Saturday night and want to use the club for the sauna or whatever else it might be instead of going out for drinks or grabbing dinner,” says Jenn Jirsa, a resident at Life Time Living Coral Gables since July 2021.

Avi Ferleger, also a resident at the Coral Gables location, adds, “If I have a stressful night, I can just walk downstairs to the hot tub, sauna, or steam room and have space for myself.”

“My lifestyle is about staying lean and fit,” he emphasizes, “and I maintain that here because I have everything around me that’s pushing me there. There’s healthy food downstairs if I need it. Trainers I can work with. Chiropractors I can go to when I need work done on my lower back. This place pushes you toward a focus of how to achieve the basic elements of a healthy life.”

Work

If you’re working remotely, as part of a hybrid model, or just need a designated space to focus on tasks, you can explore your options for access to Life Time Work.

Here you can pop in and out of the workspace lounge, conduct meetings in the conference rooms, hunker down in a phone booth or designated quiet room, or separate yourself in your own locked office.

This space promotes productivity with natural light, a variety of workspaces supportive of different work styles, comfortable seating, reliable technology, responsive tech support, healthy snacks, fresh coffee, and real plants.

“I do not miss my commute to and from work,” says Bosson. “Instead of sitting in the car, I’m now in the hot tub, stretching, foam rolling, reading, or doing something to better myself.”

The reduction of a vehicle commute also offers environmental benefits by generating fewer carbon emissions. “I rarely use my car,” adds Bosson. “I filled it up with gas the for the first time this week since living here, and I moved in three months ago. If I do leave the property, the average drive for me is about a mile and a half.”

Play

When you do choose to fit your workout in, the barriers are minimal with a fitness floor full of machines and weights, lap pools, and group training or studio, cycle, and yoga classes all just steps away.

“I’ve never felt better,” says Jirsa. “I’ve been doing strength training, Pilates, and SURRENDER Yoga classes, and I immediately joined the Signature Membership so I would have access to the recovery features, including the HydroMassage bed, Normatec, and Hyperice vibration therapy.”

Living in an apartment home steps from shared spaces and so many other people who value a healthy lifestyle can also create an unmatched type of community.

“Life Time, in general, holds the reputation of being a community,” says Jirsa. “The people here are definitely more friendly than previous apartment complexes I’ve experienced.”

According to residents, prioritized communal spaces encourage exercising together in the workout facilities; socializing at the LifeSpa and LifeCafe; meeting at the pools and pool decks; venturing to nearby downtown recreational outlets; networking at working stations; and family playtime in kids’ spaces. In addition to the various experiences on site, venture out to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, shopping outlets, and the beach in close proximity.

“I feel like this is a community,” says Ferleger. “Everybody is super friendly with each other and gets along. With the club being at the same location, it has allowed people to create a tight-knit community because people see others who are not only members of the club, but also live in the area. We all become friends.”

For many of us, home is our place for rest, recovery, and relaxation. We want it to be laid out and set up just how we want it, from the furniture to the décor to the lighting. But what if your home could provide even more— and even serve as a tool that supports your healthy lifestyle?

Life Time has begun creating high-end residences with all aspects of health in mind. There are currently two Living locations open, one in Coral Gables, Fla., and one in Henderson, Nev., with additional locations coming soon. Life Time Living Green Valley has a total of 149 apartment homes available to rent.

“From the moment you start your day to the time you close your eyes at night, you can live a fulfilling, healthy way of life here,” says Mary Zedella, resident concierge leader at Life Time Living Green Valley. “Rise each morning with a fresh cup of coffee on the private amenity deck. Bask in the sun poolside or cool off in a cabana. Take your conference call in our work lounge. Get in your workout at our athletic resort. Pick up dinner from LifeCafe and host your family in the private dining room. The amenities and options here are unmatched.”

Conveniently located next to The District at Green Valley Ranch and just outside of Las Vegas, Life Time Living Green Valley is situated just minutes from shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and more. As the tallest building in the area, it will offer spectacular views of the valley, the Las Vegas strip, and the Spring Mountains and McCullough Range mountains.

Here’s a preview of what you can expect at Life Time Living Green Valley.

Life Time Living Green Valley Kitchen

The kitchen is your blank slate for whipping up a nutritious salad, crafting a charcuterie board, meal prepping for the week, or hosting happy hour. “Communities gather around food — and hosting those social interactions in a beautiful kitchen makes them all the more enjoyable,” says Zedella.

The light wood finishes and neutral-colored back splash and granite countertops promote an open, clean feeling (the latter are also natural and nonreactive). The kitchen features stainless-steel appliances and a state-of-the-art water filtration system, too.

In need of mealtime inspiration? As a resident and Life Time member you get access to the Health Source through the Life Time Digital app, where you can find healthy recipes to try, as well as education around the best foods to eat to fuel your body. And whenever you don’t feel like cooking, you can order food from the LifeCafe for pick up or delivery.

Life Time Living Green Valley Bedroom

Life Time Living apartment homes at Green Valley are available with one or two bedrooms, where you can enjoy a full night’s rest with soundproof walls and blackout shades to block the sun. Every bedroom also contains a full-sized washer and dryer conveniently located inside the walk-in closet.

Experience connected living by taking advantage of the technological features in your home. You can adjust the temperature from an app on your smart phone, so if you’re at the club and want your home to be cooled when you get back, you can turn on the air while you finish your last set of reps. You can also browse fitness class schedules on your smart TV and stream classes right from your living room.

Life Time Living Green Valley outdoor pool

You never know where you’ll meet new friends. Taking a FLOW yoga or Upper RX class may spark a new friendship with a fellow participant.

Or you may meet someone while mingling by the Poolside Bar and Bistro, which is dedicated to individuals above the age of 21. You can also take part in the social events hosted on the pool deck, ranging from happy hours with live music to nighttime swim experiences.

Want to throw a party of your own? Life Time Living features a catering kitchen, private dining room, and social space with walk out entries to the 8,000-plus-square-foot amenity deck. You can also bring your guests poolside and rest under the cabanas, near the fire pits, or at the indoor/outdoor bar.

Life Time Living Green Valley Community Space Lobby

The amenities here are plentiful. Start your day with a jolt from the complimentary coffee bar, use the business lounge for focused work time, and embrace the open, walk-up bar and private dining room available for you to enjoy or entertain guests.

When the sun is shining (or whenever you could simply use a break), hop in the elevated pool and take in the view, or relax on the terrace.

You can also take your furry friend to the on-premises bark park, unwind in the media and entertainment space, and feel good about security measures including locked lockers for packages and a protected underground parking unit.

The Residents Concierge Team is stationed full-time in the lobby and serves as an onsite concierge. This team can assist in helping residents reserve a bike for or spot in a cycle class, deliver meals from the LifeCafe to their door, book an appointment at the LifeSpa, or arrange for weights to be brought to a resident’s home for an at-home workout setup.

The free weight area of a Life Time athletic resort.

Perhaps the greatest perk of being a Life Time Living resident is that it includes a membership to the Life Time athletic country club — only 100 yards away from the Living complex! — and all the equipment, classes, and amenities it offers.

“If you live here, it is truly a fully integrated experience from the club to your home,” says Zedella. “Our team can have equipment delivered to your unit to use while you stream your favorite studio class. We can have a nutritionist come into your kitchen to clean out and restock food items based on your goals. You can even set up to receive a knock on your door before your morning training session for extra accountability.”

Whether relaxing in your home, swimming in the pool, sweating in the club, grabbing a bite at the LifeCafe, unwinding with a massage at the LifeSpa, or exploring the community, Life Time Living Green Valley was built with your well-being at the forefront.

Optimal health requires a solid foundation of habits in three primary categories: nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle — the latter of which includes factors like sleep, stress management, social connections, environment, and more. While we can all do our best to consistently make good choices in these areas, what many often don’t realize is how big of a role our living environment plays in our health: It can either set us up for success or present additional barriers.

That’s why many health professionals encourage strategies like keeping tempting foods out of our home or joining a weekly training group. There’s something about minimizing obstacles and being surrounded by likeminded individuals that makes it so much easier to stay on track.

We’ve seen real-life examples of this: People who live in environments set up to better support health often tend to be healthier themselves. That’s why when Life Time came up with the concept for its Life Time Living properties, it has been said that they saw it as an opportunity to design and structure them with built-in reinforcements and motivation — so that healthy living could be as convenient as possible.

Life Time Living is Life Time’s recent endeavor to support members’ healthy way of life ambitions; its first iteration — with nearly 500 apartment homes — opened in Coral Gables, Fla., in 2021. In 2022, its second location opened in Henderson, Nev., with 149 apartment homes. Both built alongside a Life Time athletic country club, it’s a first-of-its-kind comprehensive experience that takes all the factors of health into consideration.

Here are some of the key nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle habits we know make a difference for nearly everyone, as well as the unique ways Life Time Living can make those endeavors easier and more enjoyable.

A kitchen in a Life Time Living apartment.

Nutrition

  • Eat foods that nourish your body, prioritizing fresh, whole foods and high-quality protein, healthy fats, and fiber from lots of veggies at nearly every meal.
  • Use quality supplements, such as a multivitamin, fish oil, and vitamin D, to further support your body’s nutritional needs.
  • Stay hydrated, aiming to consume half your body weight in ounces of water daily — and more if you’re active.

How our spaces help:

  • Set yourself up for success by meal prepping in a well-equipped kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and non-reactive granite countertops that won’t off-gas chemicals into your food. Check out these meal-prep ideas.
  • Take the guesswork out of meal planning by exploring the hundreds of healthy recipes available to you here at ExperienceLife.Lifetime.Life. This recipe library features meal ideas from our print magazine, LifeCafe, Training programs, and more.
  • Eat onsite at the LifeCafe or preorder on the Life Time Digital app to take food to go on days when you don’t feel like cooking. The menu is comprised of dietitian-approved shakes, snacks, salads, and meals.
A woman in an indoor cycle class.

Fitness

  • Move your body in one way or another every single day. Include structured workouts and exercise that challenge you, as well as leisurely movements and activities that are simply for fun.
  • Balance your cardio and weight-training efforts. Ideally, aim to strength train three to four times per week.
  • Prioritize active recovery — think a walk outside, yoga class, or massage.

How our spaces help:

  • Enjoy a complimentary membership to our Life Time athletic club as part of your apartment-home lease. Included in your membership is access to best-in-class cardio and strength machines and other fitness equipment, nearly 100 weekly group fitness classes, and spaces for recreation such as our pools.
  • Maintain your fitness from the comfort of home or on-the-go with access to our virtual app which includes on-demand classes, virtual training programs, and more.
  • Push your efforts with personal or small-group training programs or Pilates classes (available for an additional cost).

Lifestyle

  • Aim to get seven to eight hours of sleep each night, doing your best to stick to a relatively consistent sleep-wake schedule.
  • Care for yourself mentally, using techniques that work for you to actively manage your stressors.
  • Make time to connect with others socially and prioritize the meaningful relationships in your life.

How our spaces help:

  • Enjoy more restful sleep with state-of-the-art soundproofing and black-out shades in the bedrooms.
  • Relax and recharge at the LifeSpa with a massage or facial, or freshen up your look with a haircut or color.
  • Get to know other residents in the community at the resort-style outdoor pool, in group fitness classes, at special events, or by participating in our run and cycle clubs.

Two of these first-of-their-kind communities are now open: Our Coral Gables, Fla. location and our Henderson, Nev. location. More locations are soon to follow. Visit living.lifetime.life to learn more.

For many of us, our homes are our sanctuaries — a reflection of our values, a safe space to relax and unwind. It’s where we get to take care of ourselves and be ourselves.

Not all homes, however, are built from the ground up with our health and well-being in mind. Life Time Living is. This new endeavor by Life Time is focused on integrated wellness, and residents of these new multi-use complexes will be the first to experience the benefits of living in homes and communities where every aspect of their well-being is considered from the moment they wake up to the moment they go to sleep.

“This is not just about having a place to live — it’s about finding a place to thrive,” says Sarah Kohler, director of multi-family operations for Life Time. “Everything you need is here. It’s a refuge from all the craziness in the world.”

Kohler explains that Life Time Living — which will open its first development with nearly 500 apartment homes in Coral Gables, Fla., in early 2021 — is part of the interconnected Life Time experience. This includes exclusive membership to Life Time Athletic, as well as Life Time Work, the healthy-way-of-life brand’s shared workspace concept that launched in late 2018.

And just as every detail of Life Time athletic resorts have been deliberately considered, so too have the apartment homes. Here’s a closer look at what Life Time Living is all about.

Rendering of the outside of Life Time Living in Coral Gables, Florida.

Life Time Living locations are chosen and designed with convenience and safety as top priorities. “Walkability, bike-ability, and accessibility to both vibrant neighborhoods and nature are factors we consider that enhance our residents’ lifestyles,” says Kohler.

In Coral Gables, for instance, you’re close to the beaches, as well as mangroves, offering countless opportunities for spending time and doing activities outdoors.

All of the places where we spend most of our time come together at Life Time Coral Gables. In addition to our homes and work spaces, Life Time health clubs are often referred to by members as “their second home.”

Residents can take advantage of the proximity with help from the Residents Service Team, who can help schedule workouts (at the club or from the comfort of home), book a group fitness class or LifeSpa appointment, or reserve use of the quiet wellness sanctuaries throughout development.

In the apartment homes, the kitchen is the center of the experience. “The kitchen is the heart of the home — a place to come together, to cook your meals, to entertain,” says Kohler. Features include natural, nonreactive granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, as well as a state-of-the-art water filtration system, all in an ergonomic, functional floorplan.

Need help keeping your kitchen stocked? The Life Time Living residents’ app makes it easy to order pre-made meals from the LifeCafe that you can have on hand — or you can work directly with a Life Time nutritionist to create a meal plan that supports your healthy-eating goals.

For those days when you don’t have time to cook, you can order nutritious breakfast, lunch, or dinner options to be delivered from the LifeCafe, or pop down to the grocery store that’s conveniently located next door.

Wood plank flooring is a feature throughout every home, which helps limit exposure to dirt and allergens that often get trapped in carpets. Each home also has soundproofing and insulation to help to soften sounds in each room.

The main living area opens to a large, ample terrace where you can enjoy meals, take in the sunsets, or relax with a good book, while generous, oversized windows bring plenty of natural light into every area of the home.

Additionally, smart thermostats give each resident full control over their environment — including its own furnace and air conditioner. “Life Time is committed to sustainability, and allowing residents to manage their heating, cooling, and air filtration systems based on their individual needs can help reduce our footprint on the earth,” Kohler notes.

Life Time Living apartment homes are available with one to three bedrooms — all of which are designed to support your circadian rhythms. “Each sleep chamber has additional soundproofing, along with blackout shades and wake-up lights that dim in the evening and brighten in the morning, respectively,” says Kohler.

A member of the Resident Service Team is available 24/7 to help with anything residents might need, whether it’s maintenance in their home or scheduling a personal-training session with a coach. The app makes it easy to stay connected to them, as well as to  pay for services, manage your smart thermostat, and more.

Throughout Life Time Living, Work, and Athletic, there are dedicated places for you to relax and connect, including sanctuary spaces for restoration, meditation, and quiet, and communal spaces for small-group gatherings.

In all of our spaces, your health and safety are always top of mind for us, and cleanliness is a priority. As we continue to navigate through the pandemic, the teams at all of our properties are following safety and social-distancing protocols in accordance with governmental orders and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

Your and your family’s well-being, no matter the circumstances, comes first.
