Hi guys, I had to drop in this evening and talk (rant) about something I’m considering. As you can tell from the title, I’ve been considering making a change to my natural hair. I’ve been natural for about five and a half years now, and for the most part, it’s been a fun experience. I rocked a TWA, but it was short-lived since I wanted to grow my hair out. I learned how to do cornrows on myself, and have done countless braided, twisted, and crocheted styles over the years. I would say that I have mostly 4C hair. My hair is not all one hair type. Favorite Carrier Oils

Hi guys! Today, I wanted to share some of my favorite carrier oils with you. They are my top 3 for sealing moisture into my hair, and for a few other uses we’ll be getting into. I was introduced to the world of carrier oils when I started transitioning in mid-2014. There are more that I would like to try out, but my favorites to use right now are coconut oil, olive oil, and sweet almond oil. Cold-pressed and extra virgin options are the best because of their higher quality – trust me there’s a difference. I use all of them for different reasons and they all work amazingly. Let’s start with coconut oil.

Your Best Shea Butter Mixture

Hi everyone, welcome to my hair care series!  I have very thick, tightly coiled 4c hair, and one of the things my hair has been loving is shea butter/oil mixtures.  I’ve been using it as the last step in my moisturizing regimen after washing or co-washing my hair to seal my strands, and it locks the moisture in perfectly.  The only thing I do to re-moisturize or refresh when I use my shea butter mixture, is lightly spray my hair with water in the evening, and I’m good to go.  I posted an Instagram picture of my shea butter mixture last week and got great feedback.  So, I thought I’d share some tips to help you make your best mixture.
